Assessments

Types of Assessments We Offer:

Physiotherapy Assessments

for physical injuries from head to toe.

Neurological Assessments

for stroke, brain injury, and concussion recovery.

Pre and Post Operative Assessment

to improve surgery outcomes.

What To Expect During an Assessment

1. Injury Assessment

We have a detailed discussion about how the injury may have occurred, the details surrounding what symptoms you are feeling, information on your job demands, lifestyle and leisure activities, and your goals for treatment.

2. Physical Assessment

This is a thorough examination of your range of motion, strength, and functional movements. We use hands-on techniques to determine the best treatment path.

3. Education Assessment

We have a conversation regarding what the injury is, what the recommended best course of treatment is, how frequent to follow up, and how long the total treatment plan should take (weeks, months). We work together to develop a plan that works for best for you.

4. Treatment

In our assessments, we often we will have enough time to implement the initial phase of the treatment plan.

5. Exercises

You will likely be given exercises to complete at home in between appointments. These will be tailored specifically to you, we will show you how to do them, and we will review them again at your follow-up appointment.
